Sometimes, young parents are not sure what to buy before their first child is born. In this case, have a look at the following list of newborn items.
The list of newborn items is probably not complete, but contains the items that have proven themselves to be very necessary and important during the first months. Instead of buying everything new, the parents-to-be should also have a look in second hand shops or on flea markets or should ask amongst their friends and relatives if they can borrow some items.
The list of newborn items should contain:
1.) Four to six cotton bodies in size 56 as well as in 62 (if your baby is born in the colder time of the year, long-sleeved bodies are recommended). The same amount of little jackets as well as of items of outer clothing is required. Furthermore, three to four one-piece cotton pyjamas in both sizes will be needed. All clothes that are bought new, must at least be washed once with a special detergent for baby or sensitive skin before the baby is wearing them.
2.) A push carrier which should be well-sprung, comfortable and not too small.
3.) A child seat for the car which is suitable for the age of the baby.
4.) A sling
5.) A changing table with a wipeable pad.
6.) A cradle, a basket or a bed together with a mattress, blanket and sheets and/or a sleeping bag.
7.) A nappy bin and a thermometer for the bath.
8.) A piece of furniture for storing the baby clothes.
Apart from the above mentioned items, the parents will of course have to buy some bottles, care products etc.
